Tulum is not overrun by tourists and is a quiet peaceful destination. We literally felt like we had the beach and swimming in the ocean to ourselves. Tulum is 130 kilometers (86 miles) south of Cancun located on the Caribbean coast of the state of Qunitana Roo in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, and about 50 minutes south of Playa del Carmen which is also another great place to visit. It is easy to reach on Federal Highway 307, built in the 1970s. The town itself is very fun to explore, with a local festival underway and a circus set up in one of the parks. The ruins are north of the town.

Going to Cancun area and want to see different places. Is 1 on isla mujeres, 2 in playa carmen, 2 in tulum?

Hi everyone,I am heading to Cancun next month 6 days and thinking of book a tour. I have 3 of in mind, Xcaret, Tulum, and Coba. Both of us are not into much water activities. The tour company offer several options Xcaret only, Xcaret Tulum, Tulum only, Tulum and Coba. I don't know which one we should choose. Any suggestion? Thank you.
