Question: Puerto aventuras mexico...?

Me and my family are vacationing this summer in Mexico in the rivera maya. our hotel is in puerto aventuras, every site or book ive read said that this place is a marina. does this mean that is it cut off from the ocean and that there is going to be no waves? we like the natural waves of the ocean, so from people who have been there, is the water dull?

If you are staying at the Hotel you are on the beach, if it says you are on the Marina then it is very calm. I have a Condo in Playa del Carmen not far from Puerto Aventuras. Any other questions please ask. My email is shek10@aol.com Sheila
