Tulum Mexico Tips And InfoReliable tulum mexico informationHow to get to TulumIf you want to visit Tulum Mexico the best way to get there is to land in Cancun International Airport, from there you can rent a car or take the cab service, although I would really recommend that if you can you should rent a car because it is about an hour and half drive to Tulum and the cab service can get quite expensive, you can probably rent a medium size car for one day for what your going to pay for the cab and there are lots of places to visit so you´ll definitely need a car or pay for a lot of cabs. Tulum is located 130 km. (84 miles) south of Cancun, just take the main highway to the Riviera Maya, it is a very nice four- lane highway and it is always kept in great conditions, it runs to Playa del Carmen and from there two lanes continue all the way to Tulum Archaeological zone in Tulum MexicoTulum has one of the most beautiful archaeological zones in the Caribbean Coast in Quintana Roo, it is the third most visited historical site in all Mexico. Mayan people´s history is represented in this ruins, the structures were constructed between 1200 and 1450 in the Post-Classic era. They have a tour were the visitors can take about an hour stroll along lighted paths were you can see the spectacular monuments illuminated. If your ever in Cancun you just can´t afford not to visit this magnificent place. A little history on TulumThis incredibly mystic piece of Mayan land was also known by the name Zama which means the city of dawn, and this is because Tulum is located in one of the places where dawn first breaks in Mexico, It is in the Caribbean Coast of the state of Quintana Roo, it´s actual name Tulum is the word in Mayan for “fence or wall” that comes from the huge stone walls shaped in rectangular form that surround the whole site, this immense wall had defensive purpose but it also establish the limits of the sacred areas according to the Mayans Tulum BeachBut wait Tulum is not only an archaeological zone, there is a lot more to do, Tulum has the most beautiful beaches I´ve ever seen, just north of the Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve right along the road to Boca Pila you´ll find without a doubt some of the biggest powder beaches on the coast just with only a few isolated rocks so foot protection is not a concern in most areas, great for swimming and snorkeling, of course best when seas are calm. Or you can just relax and lay down in the white sand while catching a great nice tan and enjoying a good cold drink The Parks near Tulum MexicoAfter you visit the ruins and spend a day at the beach which is a must do when you are in Tulum Mexico, you then have the option to go to visit the parks. There are two big eco-parks pretty close. If you do this you should really consider spending a whole day in the park, and I bet you still won´t have enough time to go through all areas of the park you choose. Xel-Ha is nature as no one has ever felt before it has an open sea aquarium and a lot of water and land activities. Xcaret really is paradise where nature, culture and fun meet, there you´ll also find plenty of water and land activities, they have underground rivers, a butterfly pavilion, a beautiful beach, great food and one of the most spectacular shows I have ever seen in my life. These two are the biggest parks in the area and you´ll never forgive yourself if you don´t visit at least one of them Nightlife in TulumIf you go to Tulum I would advise you not to expect much of a wild nightlife, for that kind of party you should go to Cancun or Playa del Carmen, in Tulum instead you can find some nice and cozy bars downtown or some restaurants and hotel bars in the beach area, in some of the bars they have live music and some others have DJs but its more like the kind of bar where you can go and talk, relax, have your favorite drink and a good meal or some great botanas. There is this place on the beach “ The Mezzanine” that has a great party every friday night and this other place called “El Paraiso” that has a party once a month on every full moon Spanish help please..its about tulum mexico?
